EHE Strategic Planner Consultant
Indica Harris, MPH is a Public Health Practitioner born & raised in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Her passion for healthcare and simple pleasures from helping people has brought her to a new field of work. Her recent work focuses on HIV/AIDS in communities that are underserved and often overlooked. She earned her Master of Public Health degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Ms. Harris served as a strategic planner for the HIV division within disease control. She later transitioned to the position of Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Coordinator/ Community Liaison in Pinellas. Indica was instrumental in the initial EHE planning process including the creation of the Pinellas EHE draft plan, the formation of the Ending the HIV Epidemic Planning Council, and the creation of “Teen Talk Thursdaze”; a youth initiative that recruited youth into the EHE planning process. Ms. Harris has since relocated to Mecklenburg County in North Carolina where she is a Health Program Coordinator. She is currently focusing on de-stigmatizing HIV in Faith Based Communities.
